My life in relevé
While visiting my Grandparents in Stockton a few weeks ago, my Grandmother mentioned that she didn't much care for our Christmas card from last year.
I was pretty surprised, as I had received a lot of compliments on this one.
When I asked her why, she said it was because Dick is so much taller than me, and she didn't like that I had to stand on my toes to reach up to kiss him.
I said, "Grandma, that's my life!"
Tonight I was standing by Dick, and realized that almost anytime that I'm looking at him directly, I tend to go up on my toes.
It's like my default stance now.
It's probably too bad that I don't wear heels very often.
