Cherry Blossom Festival
Today, Dick and I decided to drive over to the Fillmore area to walk around.
We parked next to the park on Scott and Jackson, and walked over to Fillmore. We strolled down Fillmore and did a bit of window shopping, then decided to head into Japan Town.
To our surprise, we happened upon the first weekend of the Cherry Blossom Festival! Fun!
There were lots of festival booths, yummy food, and lots of people. We eventually found our way towards the main stage, and were able to watch a Taiko Drum group perform. (so cool!)After we hung around the festival for a while, we decided to make our way down to Union Street. It was a really nice, clear day, and we saw lots of sail boats down in the Bay.
What a nice day to be out and about!
